Current Research

Things that I'm currently working on include:

  • High resolution facial scanning using monochrome machine vision cameras.
  • Facial scanning processing pipeline for generating face rigs for use in real time animation.
  • Motion capture tracking of facial expression performances.
  • Generating digital face identities based on statistical models of scan data.
  • Real time rendering of facial scan data and digital avatars.

This work is enbled mostly using the light stage technology which is at the center of a lot of the research conduced in the Vision and Graphics Lab.
